I don’t remember whether I’ve ever tried one, but now...

Nah.

Still, a much more interesting video than you might  expect.

The rib sandwich at AMPM is yummy.

That sounds suspiciously like a gas station.

Totally is: https://www.ampm.com/

My favorite convenience store. I also like Chevron Extra Mile and if I’m back east, it’s gotta be Sheetz.

I watched that video the other day. Now that I've seen it the answer is no - never again. I'm sure it tastes fine, but it's strictly a mental thing. I just can't do organ meats.

“extruded organ meats”...  these things are the absolute worst.

I assumed that was the “pink slime” controversy from a few years ago, but I haven’t had the intestinal fortitude (get it? Get it?? ) to do any research.

Pink slime seems pretty decent in comparison, and TBH seems like a good use of little bits of meat; I think I’d be willing to eat it given what it is despite the bad publicity. It’s just trimmings from muscle fiber that is extruded and added to other muscle fiber  whereas the stuff that is used to make McRib patties includes organ meats and other things that I wouldn't want to eat. My mother on the other hand? She loves that stuff - tongue, head cheese, bone marrow and other things that make me tag just thinking about them...

Eh, I figured it wasn’t made from the good stuff. My thought has always been let me try it first. If I like it I don’t really care what it’s made of. The McRib has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

I haven’t had one in a long time, never seem to become available around me. As I recall, the patty is entirely unremarkable, and all of the flavor comes exclusively from the sauce. As McDonalds sandwiches go, the Big ‘N Tasty, Arch Deluxe, and McDLT were far superior offerings, killed off way too soon.

I did have a McLobster in Maine once, maybe 18ish years ago, and that was surprisingly decent. If there’s a seasonal/limited time sandwich to go national with, that would be the one.

Pink slime in burgers, or a  yoga mat chemical in bread, what’s worse?

That’s a tough call - with the exception of the ammonia, pink slime is just processed beef with the fat removed. A zodicarbonamide, on the other hand? I dunno. Maybe that’s the reason I don’t like most chain sandwich restaurants since there seems to be something incredibly artificial about the bread.

I fuckin’ love the McRib!

I did when I was ten....and in High School.....

Not now. But I learned that pickles and onions are great in BBQ sauce.

Up in the northeast they have a McLobster. Like, Nova Scotia.
